QA & Testing Engineer (m/f/x) - eTrading

Core Trading Technology team in Berlin focuses on development of low latency electronic trading platform and services for FX, Rates&Credit, Listed Derivates businesses. We work on super-fast market data feeds, connectivity to exchanges and other electronic venues, algo pricing and trading, order management systems and frameworks; we capture petabytes of data and power analytics for traders and quants.

As a QA Automation Engineer you will work in tight collaboration with quant developers and traders on the desk to deliver best class trading solution for FX business. You will report to the team lead, and directly collaborate with business departments and both local and remote developers and project managers from partnering teams. Together with the team you will work on a full life cycle of a product, from architecture design to implementation.

Your responsibilities

• You will be responsible for driving automation: developing and maintaining test framework (Python/Java), writing and optimizing tests;

• You will perform exploratory, functional, regression, performance and integration testing to find defects and assure that the system meets requirements;

• You will plan and assist Testing & UAT environments, assist in UAT testing;

• You will work with development team as well as in close cooperation with neighboring departments;

Your skills and experiences

• Professional experience in the field of QA automation for backend (Test Automation Frameworks, ideally Python/Java-based);

• Experience in Python and/or Java (preferably Python);

• Understanding of software development life cycle and QA processes;

• Experience in different types of testing: System, Integration, Regression, UAT;

• Knowledge of VCS systems (git or similar tools) and CI/CD (Maven, Teamcity or similar tools);

• Experience in Unix, familiarity with SQL;

• Knowledge of SDLC, experience working in Agile/Scrum/Kanban;

• Fluent English (written and spoken).
