Job Responsibilities:
Coordination of aerospace equipment development with a multitude of functions and links over time in a holistic way in accordance to engineering V-model
Designing of systems and assemblies, taking into account functional, cost, weight and installation aspects
Definition and coordination of technical requirements for the development tasks assigned
Recognising difficulties that arise and ensuring compliance with specified development goals
Definition and execution of Verification & Validation (V&V) methods and procedures
Creation and check of schedules, set priorities, defining interfaces
Working as a cross-functional role within a global work environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in either Electrical-, Computer-, Systems-, Communications- or Aerospace-Engineering or equivalent
NATO-citizenship due to work on classified projects
Enhanced knowledge about aerospace equipment / Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)
Experience in:
Coordination of other engineering domains, e. g. Hardware, Software and Testability
Test execution and documentation/integration
Problem solving within given boundary conditions
Requirements capture
Application of DO254 / DO178B/C / ARP4754 standards
Usage of the following tools: DOORS and/or JAMA, ALM, MS Office, SVN
Project Management
Familiarity with typical avionic signal standards e.g.:
MIL-Bus 1553, ARINC 429, RS232, Ethernet
Specific skill set out of at least one of the named areas:
Knowledge in Human Factors/MMI/HMI
Expertise in aircraft networking architectures, Flight Deck Systems, Flight Management Systems, Maintenance Systems
Competence in Safety Analysis
Familiarity with CNS/ATM, ADSB, TCAS or GPS, Inertial Navigation/Attitude Heading Reference System
Familiarity with Flight Control Systems or Tactical Data Link, Air Data or Cockpit Data Entry Devices
Fluent English language skills
Good communication skills to management and team
